據國外媒體報道，谷歌昨天發布了一款Chrome瀏覽器擴展程序——Chrome Office Viewer，用戶可以在Chrome內瀏覽Microsoft Office文檔。這標志著谷歌在蠶食微軟利潤豐厚的辦公軟件市場方面又邁出了一小步。

　　谷歌兩個月前證實將在Chrome操作系統中整合通過收購Quickoffice獲得的技術，就暗示了將發布Chrome Office Viewer。

　　Chrome Office Viewer使用戶能瀏覽Excel、PowerPoint和Word文檔，但不能編輯這些文檔。要運行Chrome Office Viewer，用戶必須運行尚在β測試中的Windows或OS X版Chrome 27。目前Chrome Office Viewer也只有β版本。

　　編輯功能的缺失使得Chrome Office Viewer目前價值不大，谷歌承諾將為Chrome操作系統添加編輯功能。谷歌昨天宣布發布Chrome Office Viewer時沒有披露添加文檔創建和編輯功能的時間表。

　　Quickoffice目前支持iPhone、iPad，以及Android智能手機和平板電腦，Quickoffice應用對Google Apps for Business用戶免費，對其他用戶的價格為15-20美元。

　　用戶可以在Chrome Web Store中免費下載β版Chrome Office Viewer，但谷歌可能對正式版Chrome Office Viewer收費。正式版Chrome Office Viewer可能允許用戶創建、編輯文檔。
